The following projects have been granted Certificates of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) by the Arizona Corporation Commission. Construction schedules for transmission lines is to be determined.
500-kV projects that are permitted, but not yet built:
- Palo Verde - Pinal West
This CEC was approved on May 18, 2004. The CEC allows for SRP to construct two parallel single circuit 500-kV lines from the Hassayampa Switchyard to the Pinal West substation. One of the lines was built and energized in 2007. The second permitted line has an expiration date of 2024. Case 124, Decision 67012.
- Palo Verde - Saguaro
In January 1976, joint applicants APS, SRP, El Paso Electric Company, Public Service of New Mexico and Arizona Electric Power Cooperative were granted a CEC for the construction of a 500-kV transmission line from the the Palo Verde Generating Station to the Saguaro RS; Case 24, Decision 46802.
- Saguaro - Winchester
In January 1976, the Power Plant and Line Siting Committee awarded a CEC to the SRP, APS, SRP, El Paso Electric Company, Public Service of New Mexico and Arizona Electric Power Cooperative for construction of a 500-kV line from the Saguaro Generating Station to the Winchester Substation; Case 23, Decision 46801.
230-kV projects that are permitted, but not yet built:
- Pinnacle Peak - Brandow
SRP was awarded a CEC in January 1985 to co-locate this circuit on the existing Pinnacle Peak - Brandow/Papago Buttes 230-kV line; Case 69, Decision 54345.
