SRP Basic Price Plan

The SRP Basic Price Plan is a standard price plan. You’ll pay one competitive price for energy, no matter what time of the day it is.

    How it works

On the SRP Basic Price Plan, energy prices are the same no matter when you use energy. This plan is for customers who want the freedom to use energy at any time of day without having to worry about how it will impact their bill.

    Pricing

Energy use is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Your monthly energy costs reflect how many kWh of energy your household has used during the billing cycle.

A graphic showing the energy charges for the SRP Basic price plan. Prices during the summer season, which includes the May, June, September and October billing cycles, are 12.67 cents per kilowatt hour during the first 2000 kilowatt hours, and 13.10 cents per kilowatt hour during the 2001 kilowatt hours and above. During the summer peak season, which includes the July and August billing cycles, prices are 13.33 cents per kilowatt hour during the first 2000 kilowatt hours, and 14.46 cents per kilowatt hour during the 2001 kilowatt hours and above. During the winter season, which includes the November through April billing cycles, prices are 9.76 cents per kilowatt hour with no exceptions.

It's important to note that during the summer months, prices can go up when your energy usage exceeds certain thresholds. Regardless of your price plan, energy prices are higher in summer months. That’s because demand for energy is higher in the summer. In the winter months, demand for energy falls – and prices do too.
