Solar price plans
SRP offers demand- and export-based plans for customers with existing rooftop solar systems or other energy-generating capabilities. Find the best fit for your lifestyle.
Demand plans
Ideal for customers who produce some of their own energy. These plans include monthly demand charges and offer the lowest rates of all SRP residential plans.
- Customer Generation Plan – For homes with consistent energy usage. Save by minimizing demand during on-peak hours and by actively tracking and managing your usage online.
- Average Demand Plan – For customers with fluctuating demand needs who want a more hands-off, worry-free approach. On this plan, you don't have to worry as much if your demand varies a lot. The per kW demand charges are higher though, so you should carefully consider which plan best meets your needs.
Export plans
For customers who generate most of their own energy. You’ll pay a monthly service charge plus the cost of any energy you pull from the grid when your system is not producing. Any excess energy you generate will be instantly exported by SRP and credited to your bill at a fixed price of 2.81 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh). It’s advantageous for these customers to shift their energy use to the middle of the day, when their system is generating the most energy.
- Time-of-Use Export Plan – Save by using energy from your system and limiting grid energy use to off-peak hours.
- Electric Vehicle Export Plan – For customers with electric vehicles. Save by charging overnight during super off-peak hours.

How solar pricing works
With traditional price plans, customers pay SRP for the energy they use, which comes from our grid. With solar plans, customers can offset their electric costs by generating some of their own power using solar panels or other energy-generating technologies. For all plans, per-kWh prices vary based on the amount of energy used and time of use.

Demand Management System Rebate
Save $250 on a new Demand Management System when you purchase the system from an SRP Preferred Solar Installer and have them install it at the time of your solar system installation. Demand Management Systems let you automate the use of major appliances so that they don't run at the same time during on-peak hours.

Yes. On the Customer Generation and Average Demand price plans, if the energy produced by your solar system is greater than the energy you used during the billing cycle, then the excess energy will be credited to your bill. You'll get back the same value you would have paid for that energy had you purchased it from SRP. On the TOU Export and EV Export price plans, if the energy produced by your solar system is fed back to the grid at any time, SRP will credit you at a fixed export rate of $0.0281 per kWh and subtract it from your bill.
On the TOU Export and EV Export price plans, excess solar generation cannot be carried over. On the Customer Generation and Average Demand price plans, excess generation can be "banked" during the billing month. Any unused excess energy will be credited at the end of the billing cycle at the retail rate.
Solar customers pay a slightly higher monthly service charge than non-solar customers. Customers with systems of 200 amps or under pay a monthly service fee of $32.44, and customers with systems over 200 amps are charged a monthly service fee of $45.44. This helps SRP recover fixed costs to support grid capacity. If you’re on a demand price plan, you’ll also pay a demand charge.
Yes, through the SRP Solar Choice™ program, customers who don’t have solar panels can offset their energy use with power from Arizona solar farms. This plan costs just half a cent per kWh on top of your current price plan.
You can earn money by offsetting your electric bill, using only the energy generated from your system or generating excess energy that will be credited to your bill at a fixed rate of 2.81 cents per kWh.
