Rebate details
Home Performance incentives shall be determined by the home’s total estimated annual kilowatt-hours (kWh) savings as compared to a code-built home. Additional bonus incentives are available for EV-ready space, heat pump water heaters and multistage heat pump.
Through this rebate program, Phoenix-area homebuilders will:
Incentive structure
The program’s fiscal year is from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027.
For a home certified ON or AFTER May 1, 2026, the following incentive structure will be in place:
| Achievement | Incentive |
| kWh savings over code-built home for V3.1 (annual estimated) | $.12 per kWh |
| kWh savings over code-built home for V3.2 (annual estimated)* | $.15 per kWh |
| Flat rate bonus for achieving ENERGY STAR V3.2 certification* | $600 per home |
| Electric vehicle (EV)-ready space (optional) | $200 per home |
| Heat pump water heater (optional) | $400 per home |
| Multistage heat pump (SEER 16 or greater) (optional) | $500 per home |
SRP will pay incentives for eligible new homes a first-come, first-served basis until all incentive funding has been depleted the fiscal year.
*To be eligible for the optional ENERGY STAR V3.2 incentive, a home must meet the certification requirements found in the ENERGY STAR Single Family New Construction V3.2 National Rater Field Checklist.
How to get started with SRP’s ENERGY STAR Homes program
Take these steps to qualify for ENERGY STAR incentives from SRP:
- Become an ENERGY STAR Partner (Opens in a new tab) .
- Complete an online application on SRP's Program Portal (Opens in a new tab) .
- Enroll eligible communities.
- Register homes (completed by designated HERS Rater).
- Complete construction.
- Submit testing certification for each home (completed by designated HERS Rater).
- Receive the SRP incentive payment.
