Project Huckleberry public process

On June 28, 2022, SRP received unanimous approval for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) for Project Huckleberry. Next, the ACC will vote to approve, modify or deny the CEC. More information will be shared on this page when available.

    Public process engagement opportunities

    The SRP public process allows the public to provide valuable feedback to the project team. You may provide written comment, or call (855) 584-1484(855) 584-1484 to talk with someone in person.

    A public hearing before the Arizona Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee was held on June 27, 2022, at 1 p.m. and completed on June 28th.

    A special public comment session was held in person and virtually on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. and as a courtesy on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 5:30 p.m.

    At the hearing, the Arizona Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee considered whether to issue a CEC, which is also subject to the ACC's approval.

    Project and siting overview

    SRP has project and siting overview videos that can be viewed on demand 24 hours a day.

    SRP will gather public comments online, by phone at (855) 584-1484(855) 584-1484 and through in-person open houses leading up to a hearing of the Arizona Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee. SRP anticipates filing an application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) with the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) in late June 2022.
