Professional development workshops 

Teachers looking for innovative ways to teach science can join us at one of our in-person teacher training workshops. Workshops fill up quickly, so be sure to register today!

Here’s what you need to know to attend:

  • Workshops are offered on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon.
  • They’re open to public school K–12 educators in SRP’s service territory and impact areas.
  • Educators will receive a certificate for continuing education units (four hours per workshop).
  • All workshops are free for educators.

Corona del Sol High School in Tempe used their $5,000 grant to expand their engineering program to include a human factors engineering section, where students will use the engineering design process and anthropometric data to design and 3D-print ergonomic TV remotes — both for general use and for individuals with prosthetic hands — to enhance safety, comfort and usability.
