Summer heat is on the way and we’re here to help

With higher temperatures approaching, SRP knows how important it is for our customers to have power. We care about your safety and well-being, which is why we have programs and resources in place to help in times of need. Here are some that might help you:

Save $23 per month with the Economy Price Plan monthly discount. Depending on how many people live in your home and how much everyone earns, you may be eligible for a monthly discount. Visit srp.net/epp to see if you qualify.

Get alerts for planned outages that could affect medical equipment. If you or someone in your home relies on medical equipment that requires continuous electricity, you can sign up to receive planned outage alerts by visiting srp.net/medical.

Do you have a safety net? If your electric bill becomes past due, SRP can reach out to someone you trust. The SRP Safety Net program helps to protect against power shutoffs by keeping a family member or friend informed. Sign up today at srp.net/safetynet.

Get help with your bill. SRP’s customer service team is here for you 24/7 to discuss payment plans, programs and options to help you through difficult times. Our team can also connect you with an SRP Resource Counselor who can provide information for community agencies that may be able to provide financial help for energy bills. They can also help with critical needs — things like food, medical care, clothing and shelter.

To speak with a customer service rep, call (602) 236-8888 anytime. You may also visit srp.net/resources for information on how to apply for assistance in your area

    Memorial Day holiday hours

If you participate in the SRP Time-of-Use Price Plan™, SRP EZ-3 Price Plan™, SRP Electric Vehicle Price Plan™, Residential Demand Pilot or a Customer Generation price plan, all hours on May 27 will be lower priced (off-peak) in observance of Memorial Day.

For the EV Price Plan, super off-peak hours are in effect from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. every day

    How to prevent human-caused wildfires

May is National Wildfire Awareness Month. Over the past 20 years, we have watched large wildfires — many of them human-caused — ravage the Salt and Verde river watersheds. The devastation proves one important fact that must be addressed now:

Our forests are unhealthy and at high risk for wildfires. Whether you’re a first-time visitor to our forests or a national forest expert, you play a valuable role in preventing wildfires and protecting our watershed. Here are a few tips to prevent wildfires while traveling to your destination:

Don’t park on dry brush. Dry brush and vegetation can serve as wildfire tinder. Avoid driving over or parking on dry vegetation and check your tailpipes for debris before you hit the road.

Check tires before leaving. Tire blowouts are dangerous to navigate, and sparks from the tire hitting the road can set surrounding dry vegetation and brush ablaze.

Don’t drag tow chains. Secure all chains before driving. Chains dragging on the road’s surface can also create dangerous sparks.

Together, we can prevent wildfires, restore our forests and ensure that SRP can continue to deliver sustainable and reliable water supplies. Visit srp.net/healthyforest to see how you can join SRP in restoring the health of our forests.
