Introducing SRP EZ-3: the price plan that saves you money before 3 p.m. and after 6 p.m.
We're all looking for ways to live more wisely in the desert, especially in the summer. That's
why we've created the SRP EZ-3™ Plan. It's called EZ-3 to remind you to limit your energy usage
during the three peak hours of 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. every week day during the summer (May - October billing months).
Save with more lower-priced off-peak hours
EZ-3 is an optional price plan for residential customers who use 2,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity or more during the summer months and who can shift their usage to
off-peak hours.
Customers who enroll in the SRP EZ-3 Plan save money and energy by shifting the time of day they use
major household appliances, such as the washer and dryer, pool pump, and dishwasher.
On-peak hours refer to the times of day when electricity demand is at its highest. During off-peak
hours, demand for energy is less and production costs are lower - making them less expensive. So
by switching to lower-priced off-peak hours, you'll save all summer long.
Plan hours
EZ-3 has two time periods -- on-peak and off-peak hours. Prices are higher during on-peak hours. Both
on- and off-peak hours change from summer to winter.

Based on an average monthly usage of 1,870 kWh in the months of May through October and 89% of that usage in the off-peak period. A customer at this usage level would typically need to shift 15% of their current energy usage from the on-peak period to the off-peak period during the summer and summer peak months to achieve these savings. Monthly usage and ability to shift energy use to off-peak hours will impact savings. Monthly usage can be found on your SRP bill or online at srpnet.com\myaccount.
