Premium sites. We
serve the homes and businesses of more than 825,000 of your potential customers.
As the electric utility for a 2,900 square-mile service area that includes much of
metro Phoenix and central Arizona, SRP power poles, electrical substations and
properties are among the most preferred cell and microwave site locations. We
often provide solutions for hard-to-zone sites.- Custom turnkey solutions. Our wireless offering is unique because it offers
a turnkey solution that includes every aspect of cell or microwave site development,
including: site location and feasibility analysis, zoning, site reservation, site
design and construction, and maintenance support.
- Dedicated account management. We understand that it's easier to deal with
one person than many. That's why SRP dedicates one wireless site development
coordinator to assist you. This employee has full view of all activities involving
your sites, including electrical service coordination for sites located within SRP
territory.
- Accelerated site acquisition and clearance. We provide site clearance decisions
quickly. Many of SRP's facilities are located on fee or right-of-way property, allowing
carriers greater certainty in site deployment planning.
- Pre-zoned and pre-built sites. SRP maintains pre-zoned and pre-built sites that
allow customers to get to market faster. SRP has city approval and can begin site
construction when a site walk is complete and contracts are signed.
- Backhaul service. Our customers tell us one of the biggest problems they face
is securing timely telco service.
A cell site not connected to the public switched network has no value. We solve this
problem in two ways: 1) we offer microwave attachments as part of our turn-key
process; 2) through SRP's metropolitan area SONET network, we can offer fiber-based,
diverse routed DS-1's to many of our locations.
Securing this service is integrated into our site development process. That means
you can avoid delays and expensive equipment of the LEC.

sites, fewer individual landlords and lease provisions are involved, minimizing
legal management issues.

SRP designs and constructs each Wireless site, including
electric service (within SRP territory), air-conditioned shelters or concrete
pads for equipment cabinets, Wireless Backhaul Service (where available),
coax mounting hardware & cable, and secure 24 x 7 access. |
| Maintenance & upgrades |
Our crews maintain your service enclosures, space conditioning
equipment and battery back-up systems. Further, SRP provides in-house antenna
maintenance, adjustment for replacement of antennas to improve signal quality,
and general site maintenance (including graffiti abatement, weed control and site
security integrity). |
| Legalities & clearance |
We facilitate and manage the permitting process, including
environmental and FAA approvals. |
| Cellular on Wheels (COW) |
In addition to providing permanent Wireless locations, SRP
Telecom can provide temporary service through one of our COWs. This allows customers
