Water and electric safety materials

SRP Safety Connection™ participates at community events and festivals and provides the following water and electric safety materials free of charge for the community.

Please complete this order form to request any of the following materials.

Water safety

Items printed/taped bilingually (text or audio in both English and Spanish):

  • Canal Safety Education Sheet: This sheet has canal safety tips for adults on one side and canal safety tips for children on the other side. The children's side has a reading comprehension activity on canal safety tips. This was created in partnership with Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Banner/Cardon Children's Hospital and the Arizona Multi-housing Association. **Available in English only**
  • Community pool gate sign (residents who have a community pool): This sign was produced by SRP Safety Connection in partnership with the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona and the Arizona Multihousing Association and is a reminder to be water safe.
  • CPR DVD (adults): Learn the basics of CPR with a short video produced by the Phoenix Fire Department with step-by-step instructions about how to administer CPR on adults, children and infants. This video also contains water safety tips and a website on the cover for more information.
  • Water and electric safety brochure (adults): This brochure talks about SRP's Safety Connection program and provides water and electric safety tips and contact information for receiving free materials.
  • Water safety bookmark (grades K–4): SRP's water mascot, Dewey, gives children three easy water safety tips.
  • Water safety checklist (adults): This is an excellent water safety inspection guide for parents that provides valuable information and helps keep your home safe from drowning hazards.
  • Water safety coloring book (grades K–4): SRP's water mascot, Dewey, shows children how to be safe by teaching water safety rules and engaging them in learning activities.
  • Water safety DVD (grades K–6): This is an interactive way for kids to learn about water safety. It features SEARS's water safety mascot, Dewey the water drop, who goes over the rules of water safety in a fun, engaging way. Playing time is less than 10 minutes.
  • Water safety notepad (any age): This notepad is great for both children and adults and contains a water safety message around the perimeter.
  • Water Safety STOP Notebook: This notebook is 8 ½ x 11 spiral bound and has safety tips on the cover. There are 50 blank lined pages inside.

Items printed in both English and Spanish:

  • Water safety magnet (adults and children): This has a water safety message from Dewey to stay safe around water.
  • Water safety tub cling (adults): This cling can stick to any bathtub or mirror and is a great reminder to never leave your kids alone in the bathtub.

Electrical safety

  • Electric safety coloring book (grades K–4): SRP's energy mascot, Wattson, shows children how to be safe by teaching electric safety rules and engaging them in learning activities.
  • Electric safety bookmark (grades K–4): SRP's energy mascot, Wattson, gives children three easy electric safety tips.
  • Electric safety DVD (grades K–6): This is an interactive way for kids to learn about electric safety. It features SRP's energy mascot, Wattson, who goes over the rules of electric safety in a fun, engaging way. Playing time is less than 10 minutes.
  • Electric safety notepad (any age): This is great for both children and adults and contains an electric safety message around the perimeter.
  • Holiday Lighting Safety 4x6 Photo holder:This 4 x 6 photo holder has electrical safety tips that are especially important during the holidays. This item is bilingual.

  • Electric safety magnet (adults and children): This magnet provides a message from Wattson to stay safe around electricity.

Items printed in English:

  • Emergency preparedness brochure (all ages): Learn how to prepare for an emergency, create an emergency kit and get the basics of first aid; find out what to do when the power goes off; and learn to stay safe during a thunderstorm, around water and in the heat.
