On-peak hours — The times of day when it costs SRP more to make electricity because demand is high. It is when people are using large amounts of power at the same time.

Off-peak hours — The times of day when demand for electricity is lower, making it less costly for SRP to produce energy.

Observed holidays — New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Smart meters — Digital electric meters that communicate with SRP computers to improve the way we read your meter. The meters collect and store usage data automatically then transmit it via secure wireless connection.

You can choose from SRP EZ-3 and SRP Time-of-Use, depending on which works best for your lifestyle. And now with EZ-3, you can select one of two on-peak periods.

EZ-3

Three hours. Two choices.

Customers save an average of 6% annually over the Basic Plan by significantly limiting on-peak energy use for three consecutive hours.

With EZ-3, you can select one of two on-peak periods.

What you need to do to save money

To save money, you must limit energy used during on-peak hours Monday through Friday.

  1. Reduce on-peak energy usage
    Understand how devices in your home contribute to on-peak usage and the actions you can take to save money. The average EZ-3 customer uses about 10% on-peak energy, and the average Time-of-Use customer uses about 25% on-peak energy.
  2. Estimate your savings
    Understand how much energy you use on-peak and your potential savings on a Time-of-Day plan. Log into My Account and click on the "Choose the right price plan" for a comparison based on your energy usage.
