SRP's Pinal call center set to begin operations
New building offers convenient service to customers in Pinal County
SRP's newest business office and customer call center will open its doors on Monday, March 2. The 62,000-square-foot building is located in northeastern Pinal County at the southeast corner of Schnepf and Combs roads. The new site will help SRP serve its growing customer base in the area.
"This building demonstrates our commitment to provide superior customer service here in northeastern Pinal County," said SRP Customer Services Executive Michael Lowe. "It's an ideal location for our customers in Pinal County now and in the future because it's situated near the middle of an area that will see extraordinary growth in the coming years."
The Pinal Call Center includes a cashless counter where customers can place service orders and pay bills by check or money order. It also provides two SRP PayCenter® machines for cash transactions. The building will be home to about 150 customer service representatives later this year; eventually, as many as 400 people may be employed at the facility.
In addition to the business office and call center operations, the new Pinal Call Center also features a 40-person conference center that is available for public use.
The facility was built using the latest environmental measures that, at minimum, meet silver LEED certification requirements and could receive gold. A 14,000-square-foot solar panel installation helps supply electricity, and solar water heaters provide all of the building's hot-water needs. The Pinal Call Center was also built using recycled materials and sustainable products.
SRP is the largest provider of power and water to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, serving about 935,000 electric customers in Pinal and Maricopa counties.
