SRP highest in West with business customers

Receives 2010 J.D. Power and Associates Distinction for Electric Utilities

In a report issued today by J.D. Power and Associates, SRP scored highest in customer satisfaction for business electric service among large electricity providers in the western United States. SRP, which last received a top-ranking in customer satisfaction for business customers in 2006, has been honored as the top-rated large power company in residential customer satisfaction in the West for 10 of the past 11 years.

SRP's overall customer-satisfaction index was 686 of a possible 1,000 in the 2010 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study. SRP rated highest in two of the six customer-satisfaction factors - corporate citizenship and power quality and reliability. SRP also finished near the top in billing and payment, price, customer service and communications in the West region.

The rankings from the J.D. Power and Associates study are based on interviews with representatives of more than 16,000 U.S. businesses that spend between $500 and $50,000 monthly on electricity. The western region covers Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

SRP is the largest provider of electricity to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, providing service to more than 935,000 customers. SRP also is the metropolitan area's largest supplier of water, delivering about 1 million acre-feet to agricultural, urban and municipal water users.
