Mowing Down Pollution
Since 1996, Mowing Down Pollution, has given Valley residents the opportunity to recycle old gas powered yard equipment and to purchase new electric versions, at discounted prices. More than 20,589 households have taken advantage of this program and now use clean electric lawn mowers which help to eliminate summer ozone-causing pollutants and monoxide emissions from the Valley's air.
Due to adjustments in the economy, SRP has had to adapt to changes quickly and reevaluate some of our programs. Although SRP considers Mowing Down Pollution a highly valuable program for our customers, SRP has made the difficult decision to temporarily cancel the program.
SRP appreciates your environmental commitment and we look forward to bringing back Mowing Down Pollution in future years.
