SRP EarthWise Solar Energy for residential customers
EarthWise Solar Energy is a program designed to help reduce the cost of installing a new
solar electric or solar water heating system for your home. SRP EarthWise represents our
environmental commitment to Arizona by offering programs that support clean energy.
SRP EarthWise Solar Energy is also available to business customers.
Two ways to participate
Option 1: Install a new solar electric system
When you install a solar electric system, SRP will help defray your cost with a payment of $3
per watt, up to a 10 kW (kilowatt) system. Here's an example of the costs and incentives
associated with the installation of a system:

1,600 kWh per kW-DC at

Option 2: Install a new solar water heater
SRP residential customers who install a solar water heating system qualify for a payment
of $0.50/installed kWh (kilowatt hour) of energy savings, based on the SRCC OG-300 rating.

How to apply
Here's how to participate in the SRP EarthWise Solar Energy program:
Step 1: Please review the following documents (PDF):
If you plan to install a solar water heater, please review the Solar Water Heater Application
& Agreement.
Step 2: Contact a qualified equipment dealer to help locate a product that meets your needs
and EarthWise Solar program requirements. It's a good idea to bring a copy of the above-mentioned
EarthWise Solar Energy document(s) so your equipment dealer will better understand what's entailed.

Step 3: You may apply for an SRP EarthWise Solar Energy payment when you 1) complete the required
documents 2) attach the dealer's quote for system and installation costs; and 3) mail your
documents, along with the dealer's quote, to:

Payment process
Funds will be reserved for your solar system when SRP receives your information, along with the
dealer's quote for system and installation costs. Your system must be permitted and inspected as
required by local code, and installed by a licensed, professional solar installer to qualify for
payment.
If you install a solar electric system, payment will be made upon completion of the interconnection
process (please refer to the documents in Step 1 under "How to apply" above.)
If you install a solar water heater, payment will be disbursed when you submit a receipt for the
completed and installed project.
Please note: An annual spending cap is set for the EarthWise Solar Energy payments. After this
cap is reached, reservations will be taken for next year's funds.
