Let the sun power your home with SRP solar energy. At SRP, we know few things are as integral to our lives as the sun. It lights our sky, warms our bodies, and now can power your home. EarthWise Solar Energy is a program designed to help reduce the cost of installing a new solar electric or solar water heating for your home.
There are two ways to participate:
Solar water heater
SRP residential customers who install
a solar water heating system qualify for a payment
of $0.50/installed kWh (kilowatt hour) of energy
savings, based on a OG-300 rating from
the Solar Rating and
Certification Corporation.

- The federal tax credit is 30% of cost, less the SRP incentive.
- Savings are calculated based on an annual energy production of 2,600 kWh at $0.09 per kWh, and will vary based on the size of the system installed, orientation and energy consumption.

Solar electric system
When you install a solar electric system, SRP will help defray your cost with an incentive of $2.70 per watt, up to $13,500 (through April 30, 2010). Here's an example of the costs and incentives associated with the installation of a system:
