Shade screens reduce cooling costs
Windows account for nearly 50% of the heat that enters your home. Shade screens on sun-struck windows can lower cooling costs by up to 25%.
They are one of the least expensive ways to shade your windows and still retain your view, and can keep carpets, photos, fabric and furniture from fading.
Shade screens are available in different coverage strengths. The 90% shade screen provides the most protection because it blocks up to 90% of the sun's rays from entering your windows.
Installing shade screens on your east, west and south-facing windows will help you stay cool.

"I was amazed"
I added solar shade screens and cut my energy use by 25%. Honestly, I was amazed. After installing the screens on 20 windows in my house, I expected to see some savings. But when I looked at my SRP annual usage chart, it showed that I used 25% less energy. I saved energy every month—including the hot summer months.
