SRP Certified Contractor Program

If you are looking for help with your heating and cooling equipment, the SRP Certified Contractor ProgramTM connects you with highly skilled qualified contractors who can help you save money, time, and energy.

When to call

For a typical home in the desert southwest, cooling and heating account for 51% of your home energy use, so it is critical to make sure that your home's cooling and heating system is running efficiently. An annual service check-up can identify problems before they get big -- and expensive.

If your system exhibits any of the following warning signs, it's time to call an SRP Certified Contractor.

  • Your central air conditioner or heat pump is 10 years or older
  • Your electricity use increases while your comfort decreases
  • Your cooling system is noisy
  • Your system runs longer to maintain the same thermostat setting

About the program

Administered by the Electric League of Arizona, the SRP Certified Contractor Program connects SRP customers with highly-trained and dedicated heating and cooling contractors.

All participating contractors must meet strict program requirements developed by SRP and must perform the Manual J or equivalent load calculations on all replacement and new heat pump installations and provide copies to our customers and the Heat Pump Council. These standards are designed to ensure high quality service and workmanship for the heating and cooling needs of SRP homeowners.
