SRP PowerWise Standard Business Solutions rebate

The SRP PowerWise™ Standard Business Solutions rebate program enables you to increase energy efficiency and conservation by installing industry-proven high-efficiency lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, motors, and/or variable frequency drives (VFDs) and receive cash rebates.

Rebate offers

The SRP PowerWise Standard Business Solutions rebate program pays lighting rebates based on verifiable installed demand reduction. Other equipment rebates are paid per unit. Certain exclusions and limitations apply.

Lighting

$0.20 per watt of reduced installed demand

HVAC

From $50 to $100 per ton, depending on the energy efficiency of the installed unit

Motors

From $30 to $990, depending on size of the premium efficiency motor (from 1 hp to 500 hp)

VFDs

$55 per hp on controlled HVAC fan and pump motors

The standard rebate program cap is up to $50,000 per program year. The total program-year rebate cap is $75,000 for participation in all SRP rebate programs. See the program manual and equipment catalog for more detail on eligible equipment and program requirements

Examples of qualifying energy efficiency measures

Lighting

  • T12 to T8/T5 lamp retrofits
  • Premium efficiency electronic lighting ballasts
  • Ceramic metal halide lamps
  • Incandescent to hardwired compact fluorescent
  • LED exit signs

HVAC

  • Efficient air-cooled unitary air conditioners and heat pumps that meet CEE energy efficiency requirements

Motor

  • Three-phase induction motors (1 HP to 500 HP) that meet or exceed NEMA ratings for premium efficiency motors

VFDs

  • Variable frequency drives (VFDs) on pump or fan motors of 100 HP or less used in HVAC applications

Lighting retrofit five-step rebate process

  1. Complete and submit a rebate reservation request (optional but recommended)
  2. Complete and submit the retrofit workbook-application
  3. Receive SRP approval notification
  4. Purchase and install eligible measure(s) after approval by SRP
  5. Submit an installation notice

HVAC. Motors, VFDs, and Lighting new construction four-step rebate process

  1. Identify the qualifying energy-savings measure(s) for your business
  2. Complete and submit rebate reservation request (optional, but recommended)
  3. Purchase and install approved energy efficiency measure(s)
  4. Complete and submit rebate application and/or the Lighting new construction workbook-application.

SRP will perform post-installation inspections.

Rebate funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be received beginning June 9, 2008.

Program requirements

Eligible measures must be installed at customer facilities on an SRP retail electric commercial price plans. Both retrofit or new construction projects qualify. For lighting retrofit rebates, the workbook and application must be approved before equipment is purchased and installed. The program manual and equipment catalog have more detailed information on program requirements.
