SRP PowerWise Small Business Solutions rebate
SRP PowerWise™ Small Business Solutions offers rebates for qualifying energy-efficient lighting installations and upgrades to help you determine how and where you can minimize your energy use and maximize the savings to your business's bottom line.
The PowerWise Small Business Solutions program offers qualifying customers a no-cost walk-through audit of their lighting systems in small commercial and industrial facilities. Rebates are made available to preapproved installation contractors to buy down the difference between the cost of high-efficiency lighting and standard lighting, thereby making the high-efficiency equipment a more attractive option for customers.

Eligibility
Any current SRP small commercial retail electric customer who satisfies the following criteria is eligible:
- In a facility served by a qualifying SRP nonresidential retail electric price plan
- Cumulative 12-month energy consumption
- Less than or equal to 145,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of aggregate energy usage per year
Qualifying measures
SRP offers rebates for the purchase and installation of qualifying high-efficiency lighting equipment in existing facilities. There are qualifying lighting measures in these categories:
- High-performance T5 and T8 systems
- Premium T8 fluorescents
- 8-foot T12 strip conversion kits
- Hardwired and permanent compact fluorescent lamp fixtures
- Ceramic metal halide lamps
- Light-emitting diode (LED) exit signs
- LED fixtures approved by ENERGY STAR® or DesignLights Consortium
- Wall- and ceiling-mounted occupancy sensors
Rebate offer
Small Business Solutions provides rebates to approved Small Business Solutions Alliance Contractors intended to cover 75% of the typical installation costs for qualifying lighting equipment.
Customers are subject to a maximum rebate of $200,000 for measures installed and approved under the PowerWise Small Business Solutions program and an overall rebate cap of $300,000 per customer from May 1, 2011, through April 30, 2012, for all energy-efficiency programs.
Savings opportunities
- Facilities built prior to 2007
- Facilities originally built for a different end use
- Facilities that have not had a lighting system upgrade within the past four years
- Lighting equipment with long operating times
- Lighting systems that emit excessive noise or heat
Participation instructions
- Submit a completed rebate application.
- Approved customers will be contacted by a Small Business Solutions Alliance Contractor to schedule an audit of the facility's lighting system.
- Review the free audit results, which will identify your discounted price and estimated savings.
- Contract with the Small Business Solutions Alliance Contractor for the purchase and installation of qualified lighting equipment at the discounted price.
Program funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
