SRP PowerWise New Construction Solutions rebate

The SRP PowerWise™ New Construction Solutions rebate program combines technical assistance with monetary reward. This program is designed to help architects, engineering professionals and building owners optimize energy and demand savings, while reducing operating costs within commercial new construction projects.

• Design Team Services - The design team can consist of the owner, architect, lighting and HVAC engineers, and general contractor for a project. Design team service rebates offered by PowerWise New Construction Solutions can offset a portion of the expenses for the design team's participation in the project.
• Design Assistance Service Rebates - Electric energy savings will be obtained through the implementation of a comprehensive selection of energy-efficiency measures identified and evaluated during the design process by a Qualified Service Provider (QSP) appointed by SRP. The design assistance service rebate available through PowerWise New Construction Solutions is paid directly to the QSP.
• Builder-Owner Equipment Rebates - To help offset incremental costs associated with energy-efficiency measures, financial rebates are available to building owners/customers and paid upon completion of a full energy model simulation of the as-built building construction documents and delivery of the final inspection report. Rebates range from $0.08/kWh to $0.16/kWh depending on the level of savings realized by the project.

Requirements

• Exceed ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004 by 10% or more
• Commercial buildings with 75,000 square feet or more (conditioned floor area)
• Estimated peak demand of 400 kW or more
• Constructed within SRP service territory
• Must be in the conceptual or early phases of design
• Must utilize a professional design team and establish energy efficiency goals

If your project is already in process or does not meet this criteria, it may still be eligible for equipment rebates through the Standard Business Solutions or Custom Business Solutions rebate programs.

Participation process

1. Review program manual
2. Application
   • Submit a complete program application
3. Project Meetings
   • Participate in a series of three milestone meetings during the design process
4. Construction Document Review
   • Submit 100% CDs to SRP for review
   • Submit the application approval form
5. Commissioning
   • Complete the required commissioning activities
   • Submit the Design development report approval form
6. Final Inspection
• Support SRP's final inspection and verification activities
