SRP PowerWise Large Business Solutions rebate
The SRP PowerWise™ Large Business Solutions provides technical assessment services
as well as rebates for upgrades to improve the energy efficiency of your operation.
Eligibility
REBATE FUNDS AVAILABLE
This program is available to SRP retail electric customers on any one of three price plans
for large customers: E-61, E-63, or E-65.
Benefits
- Thorough assessment of your energy-consuming systems and potential cost savings
- Lower ongoing energy costs
- Reduced maintenance
- Potential process improvements
- Energy savings and a smaller carbon footprint
- Cash rebates for equipment and controls upgrades
Three tiers of services and rebates
- Preliminary assessment - Free
SRP will fund a pre-approved assessment of your energy using systems (up to a maximum of
$3,000) to identify energy inefficiencies and potential improvements.
- Technical assessment - Co-funded
SRP will pay 50% of the cost of a pre-approved detailed technical assessment, including
recommendations and estimates of costs, energy savings, and financial returns, with maximum
SRP funding of $15,000.
- Rebates for custom equipment upgrades - $0.11/kWh
After purchase, installation, and commissioning of approved equipment, rebates will be paid
at $0.11/kWh for first-year energy savings, up to 50% of the incremental cost of high-efficiency
equipment.
Total rebates under this program are limited to $100,000 per program year (May 1, 2009 - April 30, 2010).
Total rebates for participation in multiple SRP PowerWise Business Solutions programs are limited to $150,000.
You may choose a Qualified Service Provider (QSP) to conduct the assessments. SRP will assign a QSP to
conduct verifications. Equipment rebates are based on verified reductions in annual energy use.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until all funding has been committed.
Customers requesting rebates after reservation of all available funding have the option to be placed on a waiting list.
Custom upgrades
Most cost-effective retrofit measures that reduce annual energy consumption, without increasing summer
peak demand, will qualify. The program is flexible, and participants may propose measures recommended
in the Technical Assessment Report, or others.
Examples of qualifying measures:
- Installation of new energy management control systems
- VFDs on existing chillers
- Refrigeration compressor and condenser replacement
- Direct or indirect evaporative cooling system (to replace vapor compression cooling)
- Constant air volume to variable air volume (VAV) conversion
Application process
- Submit a preliminary assessment application.
- Submit a technical assessment application after reviewing the preliminary assessment report.
- Submit a rebate reservation request (optional).
- Submit an equipment rebate application based on your technical assessment.
- Buy, install, and commission high-efficiency equipment approved by the program administrator.
- Submit an installation notice and commissioning report.
Program requirements
Applications for measures eligible for rebates under either the
SRP PowerWise Standard Business Solutions
or SRP PowerWise Compressed Air Solutions
programs must be submitted under those programs.
All technical assessments and measures to be implemented require pre-approval from SRP. After installation,
you must commission the new equipment and submit a commissioning report to receive the full amount of your
rebate. SRP reserves the right to inspect the installed measure(s) up to two years following installation
as part of its program evaluation.
