Energy cost estimates
Wouldn't it be nice to take some of the guess work out of buying a home? Unfortunately,
we can't tell you if your neighbor will start a garage rock band shortly after you move in.
But with our customized energy cost estimates, we can give you a good idea of how
much your electricity will cost in your new SRP-Certified Home.
We developed a computer estimation program that simulates hourly energy usage in the home.
This program produces customized energy cost estimates for specific floor plans that include all
of the following in the calculations:

Actual weather data from the Phoenix area, instead of national averages.

Data specific to the Valley, such as hourly temperature readings, humidity and solar
values, and ground/water temperatures.

Actual local energy prices for winter and summer months, rather than average
prices for Arizona.

Electricity used to operate gas appliances in dual-energy homes.
The estimates are thorough and accurate, and even have been validated in the field
by actual customer usage information and by the U.S. Department of Energy's estimation
program.
