Electric safety for kids

Electricity keeps us cool in the summer, lights our way when it's dark, and runs our televisions and and computers. Without electricity, e-mail (remember, the "e" stands for electronic) would just be plain old mail and all rock bands would perform unplugged.

But electricity can also be very dangerous and it doesn't take much electricity to hurt a person. In fact, less than one-fifth of the electricity it takes to light a light bulb can kill an adult.
