Electric Safety Coloring Book (grades K-3): SRP's energy mascot, Wattson, shows children how to be safe by teaching 10 electric safety rules. Printed in English and Spanish.
Know What? We Know About Electric Safety (grades K-3): An excellent guide for parents and children that deals with potential electrical dangers, such as flying kites near overhead wires or playing close to electrical equipment.
Electricity: Making the Connection (grades 4-8): A 10-minute video in a friendly, non-technical format describes how electricity is generated, transmitted and distributed.
Let's Save Energy (grades 6-8): Generate interest in how electricity helps us! Students are guided through a series of experiments that show how to make an electromagnet, a wet-cell battery, a circuit, a switch, a generator, an electric motor and more. Safety tips and a follow-up quiz complete this unit.
Let's Explore the Facts About Electricity (grades 4-7): Activities in this guide reveal concepts of electrical generation, use, circuits and delivery. Students learn about ways to conserve electricity and how math skills apply to meter reading.
ABCs of Electricity (grades 5-8): This booklet explains electricity and illustrates how a power plant operates. Learn how electricity reaches the user and the many ways it serves the public.
Virtual Power Plant Tour (grades 4-12):No need to wear a hard hat and industrial garb to view a modern power plant. Just go to SRP's Web site, www.srpnet.com/education/tour, and take our virtual tour. Students participate in interactive guided tours of a coal mine, and the water, steam and environmental management systems of a major electric-generating facility. Spend as much time as you like; the tour is self guided. You'll need to load QuickTime 5, Flash, and Shockwave for the best effects. Take the Virtual Power Plant Tour on www.srpnet.com/education and click on "Activities for students."
Getting Electricity to You (grades 6-12): This booklet presents an overview of SRP electric operation, explains how electricity is generated using various fuel sources, and provides a description of SRP dams and electric-generating facilities.
Electrical generation poster (teachers only): This four-color poster shows the energy sources used to generate electricity (fossil fuels, nuclear, hydropower and geothermal), as well as the transmission and distribution of electricity. Its text on the reverse side supplies background information and suggestions for student learning activities.
Energist – Coal (teachers only): This publication, in newspaper format, provides excellent background information on: the formation and types of coal and their locations; coal production/mining technologies; coal uses; synthetic fuels from coal; new coal technologies; coal and the environment; and coal characteristics.
Energist – Electricity (teachers only): This publication, in newspaper format, helps educators understand electricity concepts. It features simple experiments and activities for various grade levels.

Know What? We Use Water Wisely (grades K-3): This colorful booklet includes literacy activities to get children thinking about concepts such as the water cycle, pollution and conservation. It even includes activities children can do at home with their parents to make water saving a family affair.
Water Conservation Activity Book (grades 1-3): Everyone can help save water-even children! This appealing activities booklet teaches youngsters that water is a valuable resource and should be used wisely. Simple text and activities make learning fun.
Arizona Water Story Kit (grades 4): This program includes a six lesson teacher's guide on CD-ROM and a three-part DVD. Lessons are correlated to Arizona state standards and 7 integrate science, social studies, literacy, math, and language development. To obtain this program, you must attend training. Call (602) 236-2484 to schedule a training at your school or to find out about one of the pre-set training dates.
Let's Learn About Using Water Wisely (grades 4-6): Lively graphics, challenging puzzles and games teach pre-teens about water's importance to life on earth, the water cycle and how families use water.
What's Up with Conserving Water? (grades 4-8): This 23-page engaging booklet reveals concepts such as fresh water availability, purification, distribution, pollution, drought and conservation. The engaging format will get students thinking critically and discussing, as well as practicing their literacy skills.
ABCs of Water Conservation (grades 7-12): This booklet emphasizes the urgent need for water conservation. Examines four basic ways to save water and their applicability around the home.
Energist - Water (teachers only): This publication, in newspaper format, explains the properties of water, the water cycle and water use. It offers simple experiments to use in the classroom.
Hydroelectric Poster (teachers only): This large, colorful poster illustrates water reclamation, hydroelectric generation and irrigation. The reverse side explains the importance of hydroelectric generation and provides several classroom activities.
The Verde River DVD (teachers only): This 10-minute presentation explores the beauty of the Verde River like it's never been seen before. The DVD serves as a wonderful jumping off point for discussion about the many watersheds in Arizona.
Water Around Your Home and Community Poster (teachers only): This large, colorful poster illustrates the various sources of water in our environment, the water cycle and the many ways water is used. The back of the poster offers eight reproducible activity and information pages for your students.
Water Conservation Video (teachers only): "Making a Splash in the Desert" is a 15-minute DVD that engages middle-grade students with messages about water supply in our desert. Included is an overview of Phoenix water sources, water-quality issues, delivery and conservation.

It's Time to Get Down to Earth (grades K-3): This engaging activity book features simple environmental exercises and information.
Let's Recycle(grades 1-3): Friendly characters and involving games teach youngsters why recycling is important, and how they can join in (or initiate) their family's recycling efforts.
Let's Get to Know Our Environment (grades 4-6): The Curiosity Club leads pre-teens through a challenging series of word games and puzzles that teach readers what an ecosystem is, and what they can do to safeguard the plants, animals and natural resources that constitute the ecosystem.
Let's Learn about Energy and Protecting our Environment (grades 4-7): Puzzles and games teach preteens about our dependence on natural resources for survival - and how we get our energy from the environment. Young people learn that they can make a difference in conserving resources.
What's Up with Renewable Energy Sources? (grades 4-8) Don't have time to research the debates on renewable resources? Let us do it for you! This comprehensive booklet engages students in learning about renewable energy sources while weighing the benefits and challenges of each.
On Renewable Energy (grades 9-12) This thought-provoking guide helps students understand the true meaning of the word "renewable" as well as learn about renewable resources that are currently used for electric generation.
