Boy Scout Electricity Merit Badge Clinic
The learning objective of this SRP-sponsored Boy Scout Electricity Merit Badge Clinic is
to demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of electricity and electrical safety through
completing all 11 requirements of the Electricity Merit Badge.
Date: June 19, 2010
Time: 8:30 a.m. to noon
Location: The clinic will be held at the PERA Club, 1 E. Continental Drive in Tempe,
Ariz. (map below)
Prior to the clinic, each Scout will receive in the mail a workbook that details the 11
requirements. Five of the requirements need to be completed prior to the clinic and this homework is
detailed in the workbook. All work completed prior to the clinic must be brought to the clinic for
review by a Merit Badge Counselor.
The other six requirements will be completed during the clinic. To get the most from the clinic, it
is recommended that each Scout read the BSA Electricity Merit Badge Booklet prior to the clinic. Merit
badge booklets are available at your local Scout Shop.
Scouts must have achieved the rank of First Class and have received authorization from their Troop Leader
to participate in the clinic. Troop Leaders may be contacted for confirmation.
All Scouts participating in the clinic must wear Class A uniforms. An adult leader from each Troop must be
present during the clinic.
Enrollment for this clinic is limited to 40 Scouts, with no more than 10 Scouts attending from the same Troop.
Registrations will be accepted until the clinic is full.
To register, complete the online registration form. Once
you successfully submit the form, you will see a confirmation page confirming that you are registered for the
