Time Well Spent
Mesa science teachers
In a knowledge-based, global economy, Arizona's students need a strong science education in order to succeed. The Mesa Public School System, Arizona's largest school district, seeks to expand its science curriculum despite the realities of teacher attrition and a lack of enough highly qualified science educators.
The solution requires some educators to go "back to school" to strengthen their science credentials. This is an expensive proposition. SRP's primary focus in education is on teacher development and curriculum enhancement, so we are excited to support 12 Mesa teachers who are furthering their science education. In turn, these teachers will provide a stronger science curriculum for 1,800 students each year. For SRP, and for Arizona, this is the kind of investment in learning that will pay dividends of unlimited potential.
