2008 was a year in which SRP employees once again proved the value of reaching out to the communities we serve. In fact, our employee volunteer program remains the cornerstone of SRP’s culture of community service, with employees and their friends and family members collectively contributing nearly 700,000 volunteer hours last year.

Remarkably, almost 80% of SRP employees are involved in their communities in some way, often affording service that community-based organizations otherwise would not be able to provide. During fiscal year 2008, the broad scope of SRP’s community-strengthening efforts totaled $3.9 million.
