Managed Payment Plan

Managed Payment Plan (MPP) is a no-cost program that balances the seasonal highs and lows of your electric bill to make your payments predictable each month. It can make household budgeting easier because the amount of your SRP bill can remain constant each month all year.

How it works

  • SRP totals your annual energy cost for the previous year and divides it by 12. The result is your monthly payment amount.

We then take this amount and factor in two other variables:
  1. The time of year you enroll in the Managed Payment Plan:

The ideal time to enroll is during the winter months when bills are typically their lowest. This gives you time to build up a credit to offset your higher summer bills. Customers enrolling in the spring or summer months can expect their payment amount to be significantly higher until the account is reviewed again at the start of winter.
  2. Any recent or pending pricing changes.
  • SRP will review your account periodically and make adjustments to your payment amount to reflect significant, unexpected changes in usage or to reflect changes in electric prices since your payment amount was last established.
  • If you are new to your home, you may enroll in Managed Payment Plan, but SRP will estimate your monthly payment based on the size of your home. To receive this estimate, please call Residential Customer Services at (602) 236-8888.

Things to note

  • Your account must be paid up-to-date before you can enroll in this program.
  • Your enrollment in MPP will be cancelled if you miss two consecutive payments.
  • If you have 12 months' previous billing history with SRP, you can see an estimate of what your monthly payments might be on MPP. Just visit My Account, log in and click on "Payment and Usage History." If you are a new SRP customer, you must call (602) 236-8888 to receive this estimate.
