Commercial sustainability

Thanks to SRP incentives and government rebates, a growing number of companies are turning to solar installations as an effective way to control energy costs while reducing their environmental footprint. In the past fiscal year, SRP provided $3 million in solar incentives to our commercial customers.

At the Queen Creek Olive Mill, sustainability is part of the business culture. Because the mill depends on Arizona’s arid climate and 320 days of sunlight to grow its olives, solar power seemed like a logical fit. The 50-kilowatt solar electric system provides 60% of the facility’s energy needs and earned a substantial SRP incentive.

As a small agribusiness, the Olive Mill likely wouldn’t have been able to afford such a system without SRP’s help. From large industries to small businesses, more than 150 commercial customers have benefited from more than $10 million in SRP solar incentives over the past five years.
