If you have problems
Sometimes you may encounter difficulty with the irrigation system. Below are some
common problems and solutions.
If you don't find an answer to your question, call our Water Customer Service Office
at (602) 236-3333. This number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
You can also contact us with any other
questions or comments you may have. E-mail is processed during normal business hours.
Call the Water Customer Service Office at (602) 236-3333. SRP may have picked up the
sheets for tabulation.
Tip: Please don't remove the sign-up sheet from the sign-up board.
That could cause your neighbors to miss a chance to sign up for water delivery.
Call the Water Customer Service Office at (602) 236-3333. We may be able to accept a
last-minute telephone order.
Tip: If it is too late to order water, contact your neighbors and
possibly share some of their irrigation time.
If the water is early, contact the neighbors who follow you to see if you can split the
excess with them.
Tip: Knowing the neighbors who are irrigating before and after you,
and having their telephone numbers handy, will save you time.

Go to the sign-up board to determine who is supposed to be taking the water.
If you cannot reach that person, call the Water Customer Service Office for assistance.
If it appears you are not receiving the proper amount of water, check the private
system back to the SRP delivery gate to be sure that all control gates and yard
valves are set properly and not leaking.
If it appears there is not enough water coming through the SRP gate, call the
Water Customer Service Office at (602) 236-3333. A zanjero will measure the
amount of water being delivered and then make adjustments if necessary.
Tip: Always check any stand-boxes to make sure the system is set properly.

Immediately contact your neighbors and ask them to open their irrigation valves.
This will relieve the water pressure and slow or prevent flooding property or the street.
You may make a temporary repair by placing sandbags at the point of the break.
After both of these steps have been taken, contact SRP. First, we'll try to help you
re-route the water so others in the neighborhood may still receive water. We'll then
try to notify all the affected irrigators. If we must turn the water off, a field
representative will follow up by sending a repair request or service suspension notice.
Tips: Always have sandbags available to alleviate the effects of flooding.
Repair small leaks promptly to prevent more costly damages or suspension of service.

No one likes problems that threaten a good neighborhood relationship. If you do
have a problem, here are three suggestions:
First, talk with the neighbor to work things out. If this doesn't help, contact the
Water Customer Service Office, or call
(602) 236-3333. SRP also offers a Consumer Mediation service free of charge that
can be effective in helping neighbors resolve conflicts arising over irrigation.
For more information, see the Dispute Resolution
Web page or call (602) 236-2196.
Tip: Start by offering your help if problems arise. Your neighbor may
welcome your help and experience.
Independent irrigators are not employed by SRP. If a problem arises with your
commercial irrigator, you and your neighbors should work with the irrigator directly
or consider hiring someone else.
