Irrigation fees and assessments
As an owner of land with SRP water rights, you do not pay for water: it belongs to your land. The annual SRP water fees cover the cost to transport your water from the reservoirs and/or deep well pumps to the SRP delivery gate serving your neighborhood.
The annual water delivery fee covers the administrative cost of servicing the active accounts which includes record keeping of water orders, water charges and scheduling of subdivision accounts.
The annual assessment fee helps to cover the costs related to construction, operation and maintenance of SRP's water storage, transmission and distribution system. Payment of the annual assessment includes the first two acre-feet of water per acre.
Townsite accounts (accounts numbers that begin with 095xxxx) are not charged the annual assessment but must pay an equivalent price per acre-foot for the first two acre-feet of water use. For all accounts, there is an additional charge for any water use that exceeds two acre-feet per acre.
SRP's Board of Governors approves new water fees in early November each year.
Bills are issued in mid-November for the upcoming year. They are due the first
week of December. Failure to pay your assessment within 30 days of the due date will result
in penalties and may cause an interruption in your water delivery.
